[Blog] The Greatest Challenge in Your Life Coaching Business: How to Increase Your Life Coach Salary By Making the Most of What You H...: The greatest challenge you’ll find in the average life coaching business is the practice of following up. We tend to have a pre-conceived notion about what someone is likely to do. Most coaches randomly decide whether to follow up with a client every day or not at all, and this impacts their life coach salary in a big way. The problem is that we really have no idea what a person is likely to do. Will they enroll into our life coaching business if we follow up, or is it a waste of time? Just following up with one person is not going to be a time management issue. However, your attitude about following up will dramatically affect your life coach salary.
Your Life Coach Salary Will Correlate with the Amount of Strategy You Employ in Your Life Coaching Business
.
You can’t base your decision (and your life coach salary) on someone’s tone of voice or what they say. You need a hard and fast rule that works for your life coaching business 99% of the time. You’ll need to develop a strategy and then test it out to determine what works for you.

Here’s what some people do in their life coaching business. When trying to set a free coaching session or following up after free coaching session, they’ll follow up daily. In my business, I’ll call someone about 3 times a week. If after a week or two I’m not getting any sign that they’re going to get back to me, I usually start to decrease the frequency to once or twice a week. After a month, some people say you should follow up once a week. I’m not that great at following up with that intensity, but I’ll still call a couple of times the following month before I give up. I’ll get some results that way, and most people are apologetic for not getting back to me sooner. If you followed a plan like this do you think your life coach salary would be different?
In Life Coaching Business, New Clients Are Your Hottest Commodities
.

The key to earning a decent life coach salary is to understand is that your prospect is the hottest when you first get them. The more quickly you set the free session, the higher the probability that they will enroll in your life coaching business. Some people will sign up months after you talk to them, but that percentage decreases with time.
Your Life Coach Salary is Affected by Every Lead You’ve Got
.

If you’re going to have less frequent communication, your closing rate will slow down. As your life coaching business grows and you have more leads coming in, you may not be able to follow up as intently. But when you’re just starting out and every lead affects your life coach salary, you need to be on top of your follow ups. You don’t need to be pushy; you’re just looking for an answer. Even a ‘no’ or ‘I’m not interested’ is a victory because at least you know.

How to Become a Relationship Expert: Even if You?re Just Starting Out as a Relationship Coach

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/zvyDt)
If you’re not coming from a superior posture as a relationship coach, it doesn’t matter what you say.  You could use the fanciest technology, but people won’t even hear you.  In their mind you’re not the one to listen to.  The good news is that at the beginning people will give you some attention for free, without you being an authority.  There’s time to figure out how to become a relationship expert in their eyes.

As a New Relationship Coach You Can Become a Resource to Your Prospects

.

There are ways how to become a relationship expert, even if you’re just starting out as a relationship coach.  One way is to become a resource to your prospects.  When you give information away and it’s new to them; it’s valuable.  Especially if that information is relatively rare and not easily found.   You want to make sure that the information you give is the best you have.  Sure, you run the risk that people might just take the information and move on.  But most people won’t be able to implement it on their own.  They’ll still need a relationship coach.

Name Dropping Combined with Teaching Moments Can Help You with How to Become a Relationship Expert

.

Another way how to become a relationship expert or at least position yourself as a relationship coach who knows his stuff, is by name dropping.  For example, my mentor Jeff Sooey, who learned from his mentor Tony Robbins, taught me that I should work on creating a raving fan out my husband by giving to him what he needed first.  Ultimately this simple strategy causes the partner to reciprocate.  The name or group carries a ton of authority with your prospect.  You don’t want to just say, “I learned how to become a relationship expert from studying with Tony Robbins.”  You need to combine the association with a teaching moment.

Relate with Your Prospects Through Stories – You Become Not Only a Relationship Coach but a Person, Too

.

You can also learn how to become a relationship expert who demonstrates their knowledge through stories.  The story can be about someone you worked with or even yourself.  Communicating that before you became a relationship coach you used to be like them and that you understand their fears, hopes and desires can be very powerful if you’re living proof of a transformation.  It doesn’t have to take longer than 3-5 minutes.

The key to how to become a relationship expert is for people see you as the leader.  Even if it’s just by having a lot of comments posted on your blog.  Suddenly people start to see you as an expert.  They think, “Wow!  All these people are paying attention to what this person is saying.”  This strategy also works with public speaking and conference calls.   If you can convey valuable information to people in a way that they see you as an expert, they will just naturally see you as the relationship coach who can help them reach their goals.

Your 2010 Life Coaching Business Plan: Take Your Coaching Career to the Next Level

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/aKpi4)
How do you write a great life coaching business plan?  There are a billion resources detailing how to write goals or take your coaching career to the next level, most of which are fine, but what you really need is to give yourself time to focus on your life coaching business plan.  If you are serious about making 2010 a turning point in your coaching career, here a few tips that will help make a difference no matter what strategy you choose.

You Need 24 Hours Dedicated to Working on Your 2010 Life Coaching Business Plan

.

The most important life coaching business plan tip is to give yourself a full day to plan.  Not just an hour.  Not even half a day.  Smaller time blocks can be easily wiped off the face of the planet with a small emergency.  An afternoon can also be easily whittled down to a half hour of scattered thoughts.  That’s not going to give you a quality future for your coaching career.  Give yourself 24 hours.

Create Your Life Coaching Business Plan in a Different Environment Away From the Usual Distractions

.

The other key aspect to making the most out of your life coaching business plan time is to get away from your usual environment.  Get away from your usual distractions and conversations.  Creating a powerful life coaching business plan that is powerful enough to take your coaching career to the next level is going to take focus.  Daily distractions like the internet and the phone take away from your focus; and that’s power that is lost.

In your usual environment you think about how you usually think.  If you want to take your coaching career to the next level, the same thinking that got you where you are will not get you to the next level.  If you create your 2010 life coaching business plan in your home or usual workplace, you’ll tend to repeat what happened in 2009.  So get yourself to a different place. Find a nice area outside your usual town, even if it’s only a half hour away.  Find a place to stay the night.  Maybe drive to a bed and breakfast or campground.  Go to sleep somewhere else and when you wake up start your day.

If You Give Yourself 24 Hours and Distance From the Norm 2010 Can be the Best Year of Your Coaching Career

.

You’ll be amazed at the power that getting some distance from all the things that usually stop you can have on developing a powerful life coaching business plan.  Give yourself this gift.  Set yourself up to make powerful changes in your coaching career by creating an optimal planning environment.  And have a very happy new year!

As A Personal Success Coach, Do You Know Why Your Success Coaching Client Has Fear of Failure?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/GNkhf)
Do you know individually why each of your personal success coach clients need success coaching?  They probably need success coaching because they haven’t been able to achieve their goals on their own.  Why is that?  Fear of failure is a common reason your personal success coaching client hasn’t set or reached their goals in life.  Each of your clients will have different reasons why they have fear.   Here are two common reasons for fear and ways you can help them.

Your Personal Success Coaching Client Is Probably In A Comfort Zone

.

Many people are comfortable where they are in their lives.  They have no desire to strive for more.  Because they don’t have any goals, they don’t see the need to have a personal success coach.  You should accept that.  There is no rule that says we need to constantly be striving for more in life.  Whenever you are having a free success coaching session with a prospect ask them a couple of questions.  “Do you truly have what you want out of life, or are you just settling for less?”  You may also ask them “Are you truly happy or are you just in a comfort zone?”  Then you can use their answers to expand their thinking.

Success Coaching Clients Often Suffer From The Curse Of Early Success

.

Your personal success coaching client may have left high school or college and no one told them that couldn’t achieve great things in their lives.  They may have tried different things and success came easily to them.  Then life dealt them a blow, as life always does.  All of a sudden, success doesn’t come so easily.  In fact, they lose the success they had.  They go bankrupt.  They get divorced.  They lose that unstoppable confidence that they had, and they stop setting goals.  That’s when success coaching clients start to tell themselves they are too old or too young, not smart enough or not talented enough, without enough time, without enough money.  Whatever you client’s reason for not succeeding, encourage them.  Show them someone who has faced greater challenges and succeeded.  Encourage them that failure is a part of life, and you’re coaching them to handle it successfully for the rest of their life.

Psychology Coaching: Mindset Coaching Your Client To Set And Pursue Goals

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/MDw9K)
In psychology coaching, what mindset coaching do you use to help your client to set and pursue goals? We all want to succeed in life, that is why psychology coaching is so important. Do you know anyone who enjoys the experience of failure? I sure don’t. For your clients to get on the path to success in life, they will need mindset coaching to help them handle failure better. Here are two ways to help your client set and pursue goals.

Mindset Coaching: There Is Risk In NOT Pursuing A Goal

.

Many of your psychology coaching clients are so afraid of failure that they are reticent to set any goals. They have the vision and the dream in their minds, but they have never taken action because the thought of failure dominates their thoughts. The mindset coaching for your clients in that situation is simple: have your coaching client set small goals.

Small goals help to put your psychology coaching clients in the right mindset. Coaching then becomes an issue of taking steps rather than achieving large, sometimes overwhelming goals. When in this mindset, coaching becomes a practice in encouragement and staying on the path you’ve set before your psychology coaching clients. That will help them see how easy it is to set and make progress toward a goal. Once their confidence is up they can move on to bigger goals.

Your Psychology Coaching Clients Don’t Know That Goal Setting Is NOT A Belief Exercise

.

If you believe that you don’t have the talent to write a book, would you ever set a goal to write a book? You would probably not. Your psychology coaching client’s beliefs have shaped their behavior. In most cases, they will only have set goals they believed they could reach. Every time they think of a compelling goal that excites them they think, “I could never do that.” The mindset coaching you will give them is that goal setting is NOT a belief exercise.

Goal setting is an exercise in mindset coaching that helps clients to clearly define what they want, write this down, create a plan and take action to reach the goal. For many of your psychology coaching clients, the light bulb will go on in their mind. Your client needs you help them to set goals and master fear of failure.

Success Coaching: Being A Personal Development Coach Starts With Getting Your Clients To Set Goals

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/DFnO8)
Success coaching or being a personal development coach always starts with helping clients set their goals. Many people think they are already setting goals. Your success coaching client may be one of those people. In this post, we will look at two reasons why many people don’t set goals. Your job as their personal development coach is to show them exactly how to set and achieve their goals.

Success Coaching Clients Usually Think Goal Setting Is Just Deciding What They Want

.

Most success coaching clients think they are already goal-setting. They think that if they know they want something, they are setting a goal. An example of this could be a high school student. This student could get a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) if he applied himself. However, at the beginning of the semester, his parents ask him what his GPA goal is and he responds with, “3.5.” His parents are satisfied with the answer and move on to the next topic thinking that they’ve established his GPA goal. However, that is not goal setting. At the end of the story, the student may have finished the semester with a 3.0 GPA. While there is nothing wrong with the 3.0 he received, his original goal was to get at least 3.5. He could have even achieved a 4.0. If he had followed proper success coaching goal-setting techniques, he probably would have gotten a 3.5 or a 4.0. Instead, he gets a 3.0 and goes through the rest of his life with or without a personal development coach thinking that goal setting is just deciding what he wants.

If he had a personal development coach he would find out that there are more steps to goal-setting than just deciding what he wants. Success coaching clients learn that goals must be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. The high school student in this example had a goal that was SMR and T, but not necessarily Attainable, because he could have done better. A good personal development coach would have seen that he could have achieved more and pushed him to attain a 4.0 GPA. This push could have been more motivating a goal that, in turn, could have helped him to push himself to reach it.

Clients Need Personal Development Coaching When They Don’t Have Any Goals

.

In success coaching, you will meet several clients that think they don’t have any goals. This is not really true, though. They do have goals. They have just never taken the time to think about what they really want in life. Much of the time of a personal development coach is spent asking clients the right questions. If you have a client that says they have no goals ask them questions like these:

  • “Would you like to retire financially independent?”

  • “Would you like to have more energy?”

  • “Would you like to make more money?”

Your client will almost always respond by saying, “Yes,” to these questions and, when they do, they’ve discovered some of their goals and gained respect for you as their personal development coach.

Everyone has goals. Not everyone has taken the time to really think about what they want most in life, then write it down. That is going to be the first step to helping your success coaching client to get the results they want.

The 2-Step Marketing Plan For Your Life Coaching Business: Leveraging Results Through Group Coaching

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/I4jjv)
Marketing your life coaching business is really a two step process. First you need to find out what people want, and then find a way to give it to them. Oversimplified? Not really. Finding out who your target market is and what they want can be the million dollar question. And finding out how your life coaching business can deliver it to them can be just as complicated. Do they want one-on-one coaching? Group coaching? A home study program? Before you offer group coaching or any other products or services, you need to check in with your clients to find out what they really want.

From Group Coaching to One-on-One Sessions, You Have to Find Out What Your Clients Want

.

The first step to marketing your life coaching business is to find out what people want. There are lots of ways to do this. You could just walk up to people and ask them, create a survey, or create a focus group. There are also ways to meet potential life coaching business customers virtually through social networks such as Google groups, Ning.com, Yahoo Groups, Facebook and YouTube. YouTube isn’t just about videos, by the way; there groups of people who follow certain videos and gurus on that site. These groups or communities are great places to look for people who might fit into group coaching.

Life Coaching Business Marketing Has to Focus on Your Solutions

.

The second step to marketing your life coaching business is to let your clients know you have what they want and can deliver it to them. Communicating this information is key. You have to connect the dots for your potential clients to see you as their solution. And each group or community will have their own language, needs, and values. Just like you would learn some of the language of customs of a country’s people before you travel to their world, you want to make sure you know your group’s language, needs, and values before you present yourself or your group coaching as their solution.

Group Coaching is One Way to Get to Know Your Clients Better

.

They key to finding out which products or services your life coaching business is going to provide is to again ask your clients. Hang out with them. Get to know them, whether you do it virtually, live or via telephone. And the best way to become friends is to offer value. If they feel that filling out a survey will help you give more value to them; they will happily take the time to fill out the surveys or answer your questions. You can find out if they would even be interested in group coaching, or if they would prefer another format.

You might have a lot of reasons why you want to offer group coaching in your life coaching business, but the only reasons you clients will want to hear about is how it benefits them. The more you understand what your clients want, the better you’ll be able to provide it for them.

The biggest reason your life success coaching is needed is because your clients don’t know how to set goals.  Think about when you learned to set goals.  You probably learned how to set goals when you learned how to do life coaching.  Most people have never been taught proper goal setting techniques.  A simple example would be a person who doesn’t ski.  The number one reason people don’t ski is that they don’t know how to ski.  Many people don’t set goals because they don’t know how to set goals.

Your Life Coaching Clients Don’t Know the Importance of Goal Setting

.

Is it possible to become a millionaire without setting a goal of becoming a millionaire?  It is if you win the lottery or inherit a million dollars.  What are the chances your life coaching client will inherit a million dollars or win the lottery? The chances are not good they will make a million dollars without your life success coaching.  Goal setting is important because it dramatically increases the chances of your client getting everything they want out of life.  Goals also will help your client get what they want faster and easier than if they had no goals.  Once your client realizes how important goal setting is, they will immediately become a goal setter.

A Fun Way to Increase Life Coaching Business: Using Coaching Success Stories to Enroll New Clients

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/RZCs8)
Finding life coaching business is not about hard sells.  It’s been said many times, “Nothing sells like success.”  How often do you use coaching success stories when you are trying to get new clients to enroll in coaching?  Coaching success stories are one of the easiest and most fun ways to increase your life coaching business.  If it’s not already part of your script, then now is a great time to start, even if you don’t feel that you have any success stories that are compelling enough yet.

Coaching Success Stories Don’t Have to be Stories of Your Personal Successes

.

There are three myths that stop people from using coaching success stories to enroll new clients into their life coaching business.  The first is that the stories must be about one of their clients.  If you don’t have any coaching success stories yet, ask some of your coaching friends for some examples.  Don’t lie and tell others that it was one of your clients.  But it’s perfectly legal to start a story by saying “I have a friend who was coaching someone in a similar situation.  This was what they worked on and this was the result….”  Of course the more stories you have in your repertoire, the more likely you’ll be able to come up with a compelling match.

Even if You Feel Your Story Telling Skills Need Work Using Coaching Success Stories Will Help Your Life Coaching Business

.

The second myth that keeps coaches from using coaching success stories when trying to enroll people into their life coaching business is that they don’t feel like they can tell a story well.  That’s actually better in some ways because it will force you to write it down, word for word.  You can even get help with the scripting before you try it out with your clients.  If you’re well rehearsed, no one need know you are reading if you coach by phone.  Then you can use it over and over again.

Using Coaching Success Stories to Sell is Effective Because it Helps Prospective Clients to Relax

.

The third myth that keeps coaches from using coaching success stories is that they don’t really believe that it will have an effect on their life coaching business.  If that’s the case then Google, “Using stories to sell” and you will get hundreds of hits to choose from.  If you’ve used stories in the past and they haven’t seemed to help, then you might need to change your strategy.  Make sure you find a story that is similar to your client’s, and connect the benefits that your client wants to the coaching.

Using coaching success stories to build your life coaching business is not only more fun, but also more effective because it is less direct.  If you can get clients caught up in your story, they will relax their natural resistance to being sold.  Just as stories can help transform people during a coaching session, they can also help a person make a powerful action step toward their goals by enrolling in coaching.

How to get Life Coach Clients to Find You: Online Life Coaching Business Skills for ?Dummies?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/hCcdJ)
Even if you’re not tech savvy, learning how to get life coach clients to find you and your life coaching business on the internet is not that hard.  I know, because I’m one of you.  So you needn’t be afraid of using the internet to boost your life coaching business.  You too can learn how to get life coach clients to contact you, even while you sleep.

Find Ads That Are Compelling and Fit Your Life Coaching Business Niche

.

The first step in how to get life coach clients to find you on the internet is to search Google using your solution or niche.  For example:  Type in ‘Business Coaching’.  On the right hand side of the screen you will see some paid ads.  Copy the ones that are compelling and change them enough to make them your own.  Incorporate the solutions your life coaching business offers.

Tools Such as Google Adwords Can Help When You are Wondering How to Get Life Coach Clients on the Internet

.

The next step in how to get life coach clients to find you on the internet is to get a Google Adwords account.  Just go to the Google home page and click on business solutions.  It will take about 10 minutes to set up and cost $50, but that’s a relative small investment for your life coaching business.  Don’t let this get you hung up, because you can start making your ad campaign live right away.  You can set a limit to how much you spend, but on average you’ll probably need to spend about $50 per month.

Outsource Your Life Coaching Business Web-page – Believe Me It’s Worth Every Penny

.

The next step in how to get life coach clients to find you on the internet is to hire someone to set up a squeeze page, set up a domain, and even post video or written blogs for you.  The set up fees will probably run $200-$300 if you go to Elance.com or find a webmaster on Craigslist.com.  Whether you’re tech savvy or not, your life coaching business is better off outsourcing these tasks so you have time to do what you’re best at.  Webhosting fees will probably be around $50 per month, and for all the time and effort you will have to spend, you’d be better off working at McDonalds to make money to pay your webhosting fees than doing it yourself.

So for about $310 you can be on your way to increasing your life coaching business revenue.  How to get life coach clients on the internet is not a secret, but most people never take the first step.  Once you get this strategy going forward, you can have a steady flow of new leads coming to you even while you sleep.

Personal Growth Coaching: How To Get Your Life Coaching Client?s To Achieve Their Goals

(My Original Blog Post: http://coachestrainingblog.com/becomeacoach/2009/12/personal-growth-coaching-how-to-get-your-life-coaching-client%e2%80%99s-to-achieve-their-goals/)
In life coaching and personal growth coaching, helping your clients achieve their goals is key to success. Most of the time your life coaching clients will not know how to get the results they want. In personal growth coaching, you will have to help your clients put goals in writing. Most people have never really set goals, let alone write them down. We will consider a couple of ways to influence your life coaching clients to write down their goals.

Personal Growth Coaching: How To “Break The Ice” Of The Subconscious Mind

.

Have you ever gone to bed thinking about a problem, then in the middle of the night you woke up with the answer? In personal growth coaching the conscious mind is just the tip of the iceberg. I mean that literally. Your life coaching client’s mind is like an iceberg. You can only see 10% of an iceberg above the surface of the water. That 10% represents the conscious mind. That leaves 90% of the iceberg under water. That 90% represents the subconscious mind. Writing goals down will activate your client’s subconscious mind during their personal growth coaching to find ways to achieve the life coaching goal they are aiming for.

Your Life Coaching Clients Can Only Get So Far On Their Own

.

Many of your life coaching client’s goals will require help from other people. One personal growth coaching skill will be to help your clients to clearly communicate their goals to others. When your client goes through the process of writing down their goals in personal growth coaching, they will improve at communicating their goals to themselves. Once they have communicated their goals to themselves, then they will improve in communicating them to others.

Helping your life coaching clients to write their goals down is essential for two reasons. One reason is to activate their subconscious mind to help them achieve their goal. The other reason is to communicate their goals to others. Other people must know what your client’s goals are to help your client. Doing this type of personal growth coaching will give your client a skill that will serve them the rest of their life.

Career Coaching: Would You Like To Know What A Career Coach Does?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/WJmBZ)
Interested in starting a career coaching business but don’t know what a career coach does? A lot more people would be interested in starting a career coaching business if they knew what a career coach does. So many people don’t know what they want to do for a career. Because they don’t know what they want to do they stay where they are. By staying in a job that’s not for them they never achieve their career goals. Ironically, part of what a career coach does is to help people figure out what they want to do.

What A Career Coach Does: Help Clients Discover What Career They Want

.

When you think about what a career coach does, think of a wedding. If you’ve ever been married consider this question: When you planned your wedding, did you write down your goals? You probably did. Do you believe that effort increased the chance that your wedding plans would happen? You probably do. Without the written plan, the chances are your wedding would not have turned out the way you wanted. It is the same with career coaching. Without being clear on what career a client wants, no amount of career coaching will ever get them there. They need career coaching to figure out what career they want.

Career Coaching: Put The Client On The Path To The Career They Want

.

We have taken the first step to learn what a career coach does. The first step in career coaching is to help the client set a goal of what career they want. The next step is to help the client follow that direction. If a client has a goal of being the top real estate agent in their area, what a career coach does is to point them in the right direction. If they want to be the top real estate agent, should they have a job as a receptionist? No, they would need to get a job as a real estate agent. The client expects this type of career coaching and guidance from you as their career coach.

Career coaching is about helping clients get on the right path to achieve their career goals. Most clients have never had a coach to help them think about what career they want and write it down. Written goals with a written action plan is a big part of what a career coach does.

[Blog] Become a Life Coach Who Makes a Difference for the Future: Become a Parenting Coach Who Is Brave Enough to Take on the Most Challenging Clie...: It’s going to take more than some people who want to become a life coach to make an impact on the future of young people. It’s going to take people who are brave enough to become a parenting coach. What’s so tough about deciding to become a parenting coach? The clients of course. It’s not that kids are tough to work with, it’s that the parents are really the ones who need to transform. Unfortunately the parents rarely see that they are the real issue behind their children’s behavior. How can you become a life coach for the right client in this case?
Become a Parenting Coach that Knows How to Find the Real Source of the Issue
.

You need to become a parenting coach who is brave enough to ask the right questions and get honest answers, or decide that you are just going to become a life coach. When the parent or parents show for their appointment, the first thing you need to do is make a diagnosis of what’s going on. What do they want? And which of their basic needs are driving them to get what they want? What they really want, of course, is to fulfill one or more of the basic needs of significance, love, connection, certainty and variety.
Parenting Coaches Use Some of the Same Techniques They Learned to Become a Life Coach
.
Next you need to become a parenting coach who finds out what is preventing the parents from getting what they really need. This is the same process you need to go through to become a life coach who really understands what the core issue is. What prevents people from getting what they need is always in the form of a triad. The triad is basically the emotional behavior based on what a person says to themselves, what they focus on and believe, and their body’s posture and physiology.

For example, a parent might go into an angry emotional behavioral pattern in reaction to their child’s behavior, or they might go into a loving emotional behavioral pattern. Most people demonstrate reactive behavior instead of responsive behavior. They don’t realize that they have a choice. When you become a parenting coach you can connect the dots between the parent’s reactive emotional behavior and the child’s emotional behavior. When you can help parents get past their own justifications of why they react a certain way and get to their core issues, you become a life coach for the client who really needs to transform.
Whether You Become a Parenting Coach or Become a Life Coach, You Have the Ability to Change Entire Families
.

If you can become a parenting coach who gets parents to see that they have the ability to set the emotional tone of their family learning how to respond instead of react, you can transform the dynamics of the entire family. Instead of someone who has become a life coach and affects the life of their client, as a parenting coach you have the ability to transform the entire family by working with even one of the parents.

Wealth Coaching During a Recession: How to Become a Money Coach When Times are Lean

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/8Ib7v)
A lot of people are struggling with their finances right now, and wealth coaching is probably the furthest thing from their minds.  What can you offer as a money coach that would be valuable enough to part with hard earned cash in a lean economy?  Is your wealth coaching so valuable that people would say that it’s ‘priceless?’  What can a money coach offer people who don’t have cash on hand?

As a Money Coach You Can Help Clients Decipher How They Got Where They Are

.

The first benefit you can offer your clients as a money coach is to help them see the beliefs, habits, and motives that have gotten them into their current financial state.  They may feel they need ‘bailout coaching’ instead of ‘wealth coaching’, but odds are that if they are in a mess they will have enough pain to look for solutions.  And if you can identify their problem in a clear and succinct way, not only will they feel understood, but they will assume you have the answer to their problem.

Wealth Coaching Provides Accountability

.

Another benefit you can offer to clients as a money coach is accountability.  Most people understand the basics of what they need to do, and if they don’t they can check out a book at library and read it for free.  They aren’t going to enroll in wealth coaching unless you can help them get results.  And while most people perform better just knowing someone will be checking in on them, a good accountability coach can help their clients find out what really stopped them from following through.  And that is usually part of the belief that got them into their financial mess in the first place.  Transforming that is where the real value is.

As a Money Coach You Can Create Leverage to Help Clients Change Their Habits

.

One other benefit you can offer to clients as a money coach is strategy is to create enough leverage for them to make the change.  Help your wealth coaching clients see the high cost that their current behavior will have on their financial future.  Have them experience it as if it were happening right now, so they can really feel the pain.  Then help them see what the future could bring if they were to make those changes now.  Help them see and realize a more empowering future.  The reason this is so important is that most people who are on the verge of bankruptcy won’t have enough pain to make lifelong changes, just like a smoker will take the first chance he has to light up again even after a major heart attack.

When you take your job as a money coach seriously, and not just vomit information up from one of the many books on finances, you have the opportunity to make lasting changes in people’s lives.  The benefits of wealth coaching far exceed what most of your clients could ever imagine, and now is a great time for coaches to make a difference in the world.

Success Coaching: Giving Your Clients Inner Game Coaching To Create Great Relationships With Others

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/kJr6w)
In your success coaching business, what inner game coaching will help your clients create great relationships with others?  In success coaching you must help your to clients master creating relationships with other people.  They will need inner game coaching to change how they listen to others when others speak.  Here are two strategies to use to help your clients maintain great relationships with other people.

Success Coaching Technique:  Make Sure Your Client Makes The Other Person Feel Like Your Client Understands Them First

.

The first inner game coaching technique is to change how your client listens to others.  Help your client to seek first to understand the other person, then to be understood by the person.  It’s not whether your client thinks that the other person feels understood by your client.  It’s whether the OTHER person thinks your client understands them.  If your client is only concerned about being understood there will be no agreement.   Your success coaching client should say things like “let me make sure I understand, you mean this….correct?”  Your client needs to put a little extra effort to make sure they understand what the person means.

Inner Game Coaching:  Complaints Are Just Feedback And Not A Personal Attack

.

When giving your client inner game coaching you will need to teach them how to deal with complaints from people since they will hear complaints from time to time.  In your success coaching business, teach your client that complaints are just feedback.  It isn’t a personal attack if their boss or a client complains about them.  It is really valuable to know this in order to prevent your client from getting defensive.  If they are defending themselves they are not trying to satisfy the complaint.  If your client seeks to understand others first, instead of  to be understood, they will maintain great relationships.

How to Become a Relationship Coach Who Avoids the Greatest Relationship Coach Nightmare: The Easy Way and the Hard Way

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/3tVvA)
The path becoming a relationship coach seems easy at first glance.  Everyone has relationships that they struggle with.  But the real problem is how to become a relationship coach when you have skeletons in your own closet.  What if your clients find out?  Will your relationship coach certification be invalid if you severe your relationship with your brother?  Fortunately, there is a way to learn how to become a relationship coach despite your own relationship challenges.

How to Become a Relationship Coach Who Knows What is at Stake

.

Let’s face it, when someone threatens to take away one or more of our basic needs we’ll do what we need to do to protect it.  For example:  You decide to practice your relationship coach technology on your sister, and instead of coming closer to you she retreats into her shell.  You feel a loss of love and connection.  If she says, “This is stupid” then you may loose significance and might wonder how to become a relationship coach.  It is key to realize that whatever is going on, is going on between your own ears.

How to Become a Relationship Coach Who Listens Instead of Reacts

.

And what happens when we feel hurt or threatened?  We react.  You might retreat into the safety of your tortoise shell or you might lift your tail like a skunk and make a big stink.  But if you keep your relationship coach cap on, and think about the steps you’ve taken towards how to become a relationship coach, then truly listen with the intent to understand, you have a chance to transform the relationship.  If you’re waiting for the other person to go first, chances are you’ve missed their attempt or they’re waiting for you to go first.

How to Become a Relationship Coach Who Gives Feedback

.

Now is your chance to be the relationship coach with your mom and tell her what’s wrong with her…right?  Wrong!  Giving feedback means feeding back what you’ve heard the other person say, so they feel understood, this essential when pondering how to become a relationship coach.  Ask for confirmation that you’ve interpreted their message correctly.  That’s it!

How Become a Relationship Coach Who Owns Their Part and Accepts Responsibility for Providing the Solution

.

If you’re not screaming, “That’s not fair!” by now, you’re not in enough pain to change.  You are the only one who has the power to transform your relationships, and your career as a relationship coach hinges on this concept.  You don’t need to grovel, or beg, or be fake.  In fact, those are the things that probably got you into the relationship mess you’re in.  It may be as simple as simply saying, “I thought…” or “I interpreted that as…” or “I felt…” and then “I know that wasn’t your intent.”

Just because you’re a relationship coach doesn’t mean you have to be successful in all your relationships.  When you can have an authentic conversation with a loved one, you may feel that you run the risk of loosing it all.  But in that moment you become a relationship coach who walks their talk.

Become a Life Coach Who Doesn?t Need to Make New Year?s Resolutions: How to Become a Life Coach Who Writes Smart Goals

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/PyUfj)
Just because you’ve become a life coach doesn’t make it more likely that you will follow through on your New Years’ Resolutions. In fact, most people can’t remember when they resolved to do by March. And unless you want to follow the masses, you need to figure out how to become a life coach who goes beyond what most people do and set powerful goals.

How to Become a Life Coach who thinks “SMART”

.

For a goal to be powerful it needs to be SMART.

How to Become a Life Coach Who Writes ‘Specific’ Goals:
The ‘S’ in this acronym stands for Specific. Goals need to be clear enough so another person can understand and grasp what the goal is about. For example: A goal to become a life coach who has a thriving business is vague.

How to Become a Life Coach Who Writes ‘Measurable’ Goals:
The ‘M’ stands for Measurable. If you want to become a life coach who writes SMART goals you need to have a clear picture of victory. For example: A goal to enroll 5 new clients is measurable. You know when you’ve achieved the goal, and you can keep measure your progress along the way.

How to Become a Life Coach Who Writes ‘Ambitious’ Goals:
The ‘A’ stands for Ambitious. My favorite example of this is when a client who was almost 70 told me his goal was to complete a century bicycle ride. That sounded ambitious to me. But it wasn’t for him. He had completed the same ride 7 years in a row. Don’t become a life coach who settles for less than ambitious goals.

How to Become a Life Coach Who Writes Down the ‘Reason’ the Goals are Important:
The clearer you are about why you want to achieve a goal, the more likely you will be motivated to persevere when challenges arise. Make sure you become a life coach who understands what you are really trying to achieve in terms of getting your needs met. Will you get more Certainty/ Security in your life as a result of accomplishing your goals? More Significance? More Love & Connection? More Variety?

How to Become a Life Coach Who Creates a ‘Time’ the Goals Will be Completed by:
Don’t let yourself become a life coach who says, “Someday.” For some people it might be a bit daunting to commit to a date, but at least you will feel enough pressure to get into action.

Become a Life Coach Who Doesn’t Need the New Year to Have Resolve

.

Are you ready to become a life coach who reflects on this past year and makes goals? Goals like “How to become a life coach who gets better results?” sound like a good idea, but are really only a few steps away from being a powerful and compelling goal.

Become a Business Coach Who is Not All Talk: What to Do When You?re Afraid to Take Your Own Business Coaching Tips

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/MTJsK)
A lot of people who want to become a business coach think all they need is a few good strategies and techniques. These are the same people who quote, “Those who can’t, teach” or in this case “coach.” But if all you needed were a few business coaching tips to be successful in getting clients, then everyone would be doing it. If you really want to become a business coach who does more than give good advice, you’re going to need to roll up your own sleeves and get ready to work. Learning a few business coaching tips isn’t enough to really understand the mindset of someone who is looking into the face of their greatest fear. If you want to be a leader, you need to go first.

Do You Want to Become a Business Coach that Takes Things to the Next Level?

.

One of my mentors was giving a seminar about a week ago, and suddenly one of his business coaching tips jumped out at me. He said that over the past few months he had contacted four people and asked them if they would consider doing joint ventures with him. What I understood was that if I wanted to become a business coach who was going to take things to the next level, I was going to have to do the same.

Business Coaching Tips are Worthless Without Action

.

Of course, thinking about new business coaching tips and actually taking action are worlds apart. I knew who I had to contact, and saying I was apprehensive seems like an understatement now. So I decided I was going to become a business coach who walked her talk. I called one of my friends for some coaching. Obviously there were some limiting beliefs going on.

A Peer Group Can Boost Your Efforts to Become a Business Coach

.

The benefit of having an empowering peer group become apparent to me here. My friend was able to help me to see that I could break down this goal into several smaller steps. From a big business coaching tip to roughly four micro business coaching tips. Once I could each step was clear, I was able to become a business coach who could take one step at a time.

You Have to Grow in Order to Become a Business Coach

.

When I decided to become a business coach who was willing to take on this challenge, I expanded my comfort zone. I can relate to my own clients at a higher level. Will there be other business coaching tips that come up and challenge me? Sure. But that is one of the things I love most about being a coach. It’s my job to grow, to expand, and in playing a bigger game in my own life I am able to make a bigger difference for others.

[Blog] Become a Business Coach Who is Not All Talk: What to Do When You’re Afraid to Take Your Own Business Coaching T...: A lot of people who want to become a business coach think all they need is a few good strategies and techniques.

As A Money Coach Or Financial Freedom Coach, How Do You Increase Your Client?s Income?

(My Original Blog Post: http://coachestrainingblog.com/becomeacoach/2009/12/as-a-money-coach-or-financial-freedom-coach-how-do-you-increase-your-client%e2%80%99s-income/)
As a money coach or financial freedom coach, how can you help your client increase their income? First, you will give them the services of a financial freedom coach to manage their money better. As a money coach, you know clients will likely need to increase their income to achieve their goals. We are going to cover two coaching strategies to help you coach your clients to increase their income.

As A Money Coach Or Financial Freedom Coach, You Must Change Your Clients Money Habits

.

Our habits determine up to 90% of our behavior. As a money coach or financial freedom coach, you will need to change your client’s money habits. You cannot only take away their bad money habits. You must also replace the bad habits with good habits that will create money. If you do not replace bad habits with good habits, they come back worse than before.

As a money coach or financial freedom coach, you know the value of time. Time allows money to grow. You know we cannot get more time, but we can get more money. One financial freedom coach technique is to teach your clients to assign others to do activities they should not be doing.

Have Your Clients Do What They Do Best And Pay Others To Do The Rest

.

As their money coach, have your client do what they do best and pay others to do the rest. Have your client take their annual income and divide it by 2000. That will tell them how much an hour of their time is worth. Once they have that figure, they can better determine what tasks they should do themselves, and what tasks they should delegate. For example, if your client’s time is worth $100 an hour, they shouldn't invest their time doing something they can pay someone $10 an hour to do. If they make $100 an hour, then it doesn’t make sense for them to cut their own grass. It makes more sense to pay someone else to do it.

Your client can use this information to become their own money coach and make better decisions about where they spend their time. If they only spend their time doing things that will increase what an hour of their time is worth, their income will grow. If you act like a financial freedom coach and help your client use their time and money wisely, you will become a better coach, and they will be better for it.

Business Coaching: What Coaching For Business Professionals Will Improve Productivity The Most?

(My Original Blog Post: http://coachestrainingblog.com/becomeacoach/2009/12/business-coaching-coaching-for-business-professionals-improve-productivity/)
What coaching for business professionals in your business coaching practice will boost productivity the most?  The important thing with coaching for business professionals is to keep them focused.   With economic problems around the world it is important to get the most production out of every business day.  In your business coaching practice how do you go about keeping your clients focused and productive every day?

Business Coaching:  Teach Your Client To Plan Each Business Day In Writing Before The Day Starts

.

In business coaching and coaching for business professionals, you need to help your client take each day in small pieces.  We get overwhelmed in life when we think about all the things we think we have to do.  The best coaching for business professionals is for them to plan each business day in writing BEFORE the business day starts.  You need to teach your clients to plan their work, and work their plan.  Your client will be most productive when they follow their daily plan.

The most necessary coaching for business professionals is prioritizing their activities.  First, your business coaching client needs to plan their business day in writing.  After that they need to determine what activities are the most productive activities to spend time doing.

Use The “Pareto Principle” To Prioritize Your Business Coaching Clients Daily List Of Things To Do

.

You should use a business coaching principle called the “Pareto Principle”.  The Pareto Principle is that 20% of activities produce 80% of the results.  Coach your client to list all the activities they have to achieve.  Once they have the list of activities together they would use the Pareto Principle to prioritize the list, taking ten activities and focusing your client on the two most productive activities that must be completed that day.  If your client does this every day they will be one of the most productive people in the world.

Life Balance Coaching That Gives Your Life Coaching Clients Better Results For Life

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/EqWNt)
What life balance coaching do your life coaching clients need to get results?  In your life coaching business you focus on the basics.  One of the most basic rules of life is we cannot be in two places at one time.  Most people live their life always reacting to distractions that come up.  Between the cell phone, TV, computer, long hours at work and family how do you get everything done?  It all starts with where you spend your time.  You cannot give effective life balance coaching without teaching your clients where to spend their time.

Life Balance Coaching:  Teach Your Life Coaching Clients That Time Has More Value Than Money

.

Teach your life coaching clients that time has a future value.  Jim Rohn was a success expert.  My favorite Jim Rohn quote is “Time is more valuable than money.  You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.”  In your life balance coaching it is important to teach your clients how to spend time wisely.   Time is like money.  You get a return on your time depending on where you invest it.   How do you help your clients spend their time on the right activities to improve their life balance?

Life Balance Coaching:  What Doesn’t Get Scheduled; Doesn’t Get Done

.

Your life coaching clients need to learn that some activities produce better results than other activities.  For example, watching TV will produce different results than exercise will. Life balance coaching is about teaching your clients how to choose activities that create better results in every area of life.  What doesn’t get scheduled; doesn’t get done.  Your client must schedule activities that will cause better results.  You must create a daily or weekly schedule for them to create better results in their life.  If you help schedule their life and they take the right actions, they will be excited with their results.  If they are excited about their results you have been a great coach for them.

Coach Training to Make Sure Your Close Is Compelling: Coaching Sales Training To Ensure Success

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/a6f5E)
The biggest question people have after coach training is how to enroll people after a free session.  More specifically they want coaching sales training to maximize their chances of getting an enrollment.  They probably learned from a previous coaching sales training that their close must be compelling to work.  Unfortunately, that is the worst thing to focus on.  The key to success is to use your coach training and make everything up to the close compelling.

If you take anything away from this coaching sales training, it’s that the close is not compelling.  It’s a barrier.  It’s not compelling for you; it’s not for your clients.  It’s something that comes between them and getting coaching. Because what your clients really want are results, not necessarily coaching.  If you are going to use the skills you learned from your coach training, you need to get past this barrier.

Coaching Sales Training Number One Rule:  Trying to Make Your Close Compelling is Like Trying to Make Jello into Art.  You’re just making it into something that it’s not.

.

So what do you do instead?  Use your coach training skills and gain rapport.  Build trust and a begin working on a relationship.  Find out the most important achievements in their lives, things that won’t otherwise happen without coaching.  Don’t worry about how to use your coaching sales training.  Make sure the goals they bring up are things that are compelling for them.  Don’t allow them to move past this part.  It’s not just about important stuff, but things they know won’t happen without intervention.

What’s more important than any coaching sales training is that if you give massive value, your clients will see some results.  Getting them to see those initial results is the first step in getting them to move forward with coaching.  Have confidence in the skills you’ve learned from your coach training.  Be powerful when you share what you have to offer moving forward.  If you don’t believe in what you’re doing, your client won’t either.

Relax and Don’t Worry About Making The Close, If You’ve Followed this Coach Training Everything will Fall into Place

.

The key to this coaching sales training is that your clients don’t want to feel compelled, they want to feel secure. They are putting forth an emotional commitment as well as a commitment of time and money.  They may even have fear about whether they are being stupid or taken advantage of.  So the more bored you are, the more comfortable you will appear.  If you’re overly excited or hungry, they can take that in a negative way.  If you don’t have an emotional charge and your clients feel like you’ve done this a million times before, they can relax.  Use your coach training techniques to take charge of your own emotions, and people will naturally want to enroll in coaching with you.

[Blog] When Your Client Abandons Your Life Coaching Business: How to Get Coaching Clients who are M.I.A. to Call You B...: Inevitably, in your life coaching business someone will fall out of communication.  These are the clients who won’t return emails, calls, etc.  To avoid this pitfall you much know how to get coaching clients to call you back, before they fall off the face of the planet for good.  Instead of focusing on what your life coaching business has to offer, it’s important to realize to keep clients from going M.I.A you must take the path that is neither easy nor natural.  When thinking about how to get coaching clients, the key is to find clients that will pursue you, but how do you do that?
How to Get Coaching Clients: Are You Afraid to Use the Most Effective Tool in Your Arsenal?
.

The most effective tool is one most coaches are afraid to use.  Coaches see it as how to get coaching clients annoyed with them.  No one wants to be annoying or have a life coaching business that is thought of as annoying, but if you read on you’ll realized how effective it can be to be annoying.
Be Annoying Watch Your Life Coaching Business Grow
.

They key to how to get coaching clients to call you back is to call them until they call you back.  This doesn’t mean once a month, or once a week.  If your client is not calling you back, then the honeymoon phase has ended.  When you enroll a client they think the coaching will take over and they won’t have to lift a finger to see progress.  Then they realize they must take action to complement your coaching, and to, ultimately achieve their goals.  They begin to freak out and start thinking, “I’m going to have to WORK.”  All the things they need to do are suddenly painstaking, where they were initially exciting.  Which is why they start avoiding you and all that life coaching business stuff.
Still, it’s Important to be Professional as You Focus on How to Get Coaching Clients
.

Now, I’m not saying that how to get coaching clients to call you back is to stalk them.  Be professional, but use whatever way you have to communicate with them.  The message your client will get is that, “I’m going to be more annoyed if I don’t get back in touch.”  They still may be disenchanted with the life coaching business, but the very emotion that was getting them to avoid you will get them to chase you down, even if it’s to tell you to stop bugging them.

The great thing about your life coaching business is that it will reveal which conditions in your life need to change.  Do you need more skills?  What is your own commitment to coaching?  This issue about how to get coaching clients to stay engaged in coaching won’t turn around in a month.  Look the source and take the opportunities to transform your own life.  It’s not always as easy as it sounds, because hindsight is 20/20.  Explore it with your coach and your mastermind groups.  The road needs to be traveled, and it isn’t necessarily easy.  So travel down as fast as possible.

You can become a life coach who sees this as a slow time of year, or you can choose to make a difference when people need coaching the most.

Tips for How to Become a Success Coach for the Holidays

.

How to Become a Success Coach for the Holidays: Tip #1
What if you become a life coach who simply asks your clients what their plans and goals for the holidays are? Drill down and find out their needs. This can open the door for continuing to coach them over the holidays, where this may have been a complete blind spot before. Give people the opportunity to take the challenges they are facing around the holidays and turn them into appealing goals.

How to Become a Success Coach for the Holidays: Tip #2
What if you become a life coach who creates a special program just for the holidays. For example, “How to Thrive Instead of Survive the Holidays." If you watch the news, you’ll see psychologists, doctors, and other professionals answering the same questions about how to save money, save time, avoid depression. People are looking for solutions. Do you have any ideas to share?

How to Become a Success Coach for the Holidays: Tip #3
What if you become a life coach who manages their own internal dialogue and doesn’t fall into complacency? How are you going to help others if you fall into your own disempowering conversations?

In Order to Become a Life Coach That Stays Strong Year-Round, You Need to Know How to Become a Success Coach For Yourself

.

The secret to how to become a success coach for the holidays is to realize for every challenge, there is also opportunity. You don’t have to become a life coach with an empty calendar this season. Listen to what your clients and others are telling you about their greatest fears, challenges, hopes, and aspirations are over the holidays; and start looking for ways to make a difference.

Coaching Tips: What Successful Coaching Strategies Do Top Coaches Use to Manage Their Time Effectively?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/4TUh1)
There are powerful coaching tips you can learn from top coaches who have successful coaching practices. One of the biggest obstacles to starting a successful coaching practice is learning where to invest your time. Most coaching tips are exciting to new coaches, because they usually are about helping your clients. The coaching tips in this article may not be exciting, but they will save you a lot of frustration if you want to have a successful coaching career.

Time Management Coaching Tips: Make A List Of All Your Time Commitments

.

One of the first coaching tips you need is to make a list of all your time commitments. Most people who think about being coaches never get started coaching. They don’t get started coaching because they believe they don’t have enough time. You cannot have a successful coaching practice if you believe you don’t have time for one. You will learn you do have enough time when you make a list of all of your time commitments. I’ve never had a client with less than 10 hours a week of free time. That is enough time to get started on any business.

Time Management Coaching Tips: Plan Your Life To Make A Successful Coaching Practice

.

One of the best coaching tips I was ever given is that we all have the same amount of time. Time management is about time choices. Schedule your time around the priorities in your life. If you start making the time for the most valuable things in your life then you will have time for them. Likewise, if you make a few hours in your life to build a successful coaching practice then it will be possible. If you don’t make the time, however, other things will get in the way.

When you make time in your life to have a successful coaching career, you take away one excuse for why you can’t have one. Eliminating this one excuse creates the space for you to make your coaching practice happen. It also allows you to feel good about keeping your life in balance while you grow your business. This also gives you the time to take advantage of the many other coaching tips around you, until you stop seeing time as a hindrance but, rather, as a series of open doors.

Life Coaching: How to Be the Motivational Coach that Keeps Your Clients Taking Action

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/xxipx)
When you are life coaching your clients, sometimes you also need to be a motivational coach. Your client probably wants coaching because they are not happy with their life. Why is a motivational coach so important for every client in your life coaching business? Because clients will not take new actions if they lose hope.

Life Coaching Clients Need a Motivational Coach To Break Old Habits

.

Life coaching clients also need a motivational coach because their old habits may be hard to break. When people make mistakes over and over again, they view the mistakes as part of who they are. They might say things like, “I never follow through on my commitments.” Being someone who does not follow through is what the client has taken on as part of their identity. They believe that history repeats itself.

Part of your life coaching for these clients will be to practice activities that a motivational coach would also do. In order for them to become motivated to change, they need you to believe they will change. That will give them hope.

Hold Your Life Coaching Clients To A New Standard And Be Positive

.

Now your life coaching clients are taking action. The next step you need to take as their motivational coach is to hold them to a new standard. As you would in life coaching, you need to celebrate all the actions they take to achieve their goals. At the same time, you provide the motivational coach slant by putting faith in their future actions.

What do you say to your life coaching clients to keep them motivated? You say things like, “It’s okay to have a bad day. Tomorrow I know you will do a better job.” You can also celebrate a win and hold them to a new standard by saying “Great job on that! Now the next level for you is this.” You need to be positive with your clients. Also expect more of them as they make progress. Being positive and encouraging will make them feel good about themselves. By taking these simple actions as their pseudo motivational coach, they will want to continue taking the right actions to keep feeling good and achieve success.

[Blog] Life Coaching: How to Be the Motivational Coach that Keeps Your Clients Taking Act...: When you are life coaching your clients, sometimes you also need to be a motivational coach.

Coaching Practice Building with Public Speaking: Don?t Go Up to the Front of the Room Before You Get These Coaching Tips Handled

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/CmMZ1)
Most people who try to grow their coaching practice through public speaking leave money on the table at every event, and they don’t even know it.  To avoid this costly mistake there are two coaching tips you must handle BEFORE you enter the room.  And the great news is that these coaching tips are simple things you can now so you can enroll more clients into your coaching practice at your next speaking engagement.

When You’re in the Front of the Room You Must Have Your “A” Game on in Order to Grow Your Coaching Practice

w

The first of these coaching tips is that you better be ridiculously ‘on.’  That means you must get yourself into a powerful state of mind; come from a powerful place emotionally and physiologically.  It’s your responsibility to show up and be ready to provide value to prospective clients and to change their lives for the better.  Don’t make it about your coaching practice; make it about your audience.  If you’re in the right state, more will come out of you.

Timing is Key During Your Presentation if You Want to Gain More Clients in Your Coaching Practice

w

The second of these coaching tips is that you need to say the right thing at the right time during the presentation.  During the first five minutes, there are things you need to say or no one will sign up for anything related to your coaching practice.  Also, there are things you need to say at the end as well.  As one of my mentors Eric Lofholm says, “People behave in predictable ways.”  Make sure your presentation has a certain level of predictability.  Pre-frame what you’ll offer them within first five minutes in a way that’s compelling.  And likewise at the end of the presentation, your closing words should be compelling.  Just like the Home Shopping Network has you ripping out your credit card and picking up the phone, you don’t remember that you don’t need another piece of exercise equipment.  That’s compelling.

The Most Important of These Coaching Tips: Practice, Practice, Practice

w

How do you get there?  Beyond the basics of knowing your target market and writing out your script; the most important of these coaching tips is to memorize your offer.  Word for word.  If it’s not memorized to that level, once you’re in front of people you’ll get nervous and not even say it at all.  About two weeks or more before your presentation, start memorizing your offers and go over them every day for 30-60 minutes.  Practice until it is so automatic you can do it in your sleep.  Don’t worry; it won’t sound boring from the front of the room.  You’ll actually be excited.  It will be easy for you, and people will feel comfortable with you and your coaching practice.

And look, even if you follow these coaching tips you’re going to mess it up from time to time.  But more work you put in ahead of time, the closer you’ll be to the mark.  And over time the benefit to your coaching practice will be measurable.

Building a Coaching Practice Through Public Speaking: Why You Can?t Enroll New Life Coaching Business From the Front of the Room

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/IncdW)
Building a coaching practice is a lot like buying real estate with no money down.  If it’s wrong, you’ll be disappointed and it will look like it’s impossible.  Most people either fail to get the loan, or they succeed and go bankrupt.  So what can you do about building your life coaching business?  Is building a coaching practice through public speaking a viable option?  Just like most people in our society date before they get married, you need to let people get to know you before you get life coaching business.

If You’re Interesting in Building a Coaching Practice Through Public Speaking Do NOT Coach From the Front of the Room

w

The biggest mistake coaches make when building a coaching practice through public speaking is offering coaching from the front of the room.  It will minimize the life coaching business you will get because it’s the most expensive option you have.  Even Tony Robbins doesn’t do it, and he’s a master.  How does he do it then?

Unless You Are Speaking in Front of Paying Clients Who Have Purchased Your Products, You’ll Have to Do More to Increase Your Life Coaching Business

w

If your ultimate outcome is to get life coaching business, you’re going to need to add a few steps before you make that offer.  For example, Tony Robbins holds seminars with thousands of people attending.  That’s not a big deal for most people to give up a weekend of their time, and the cost is fixed.  Perhaps after they attend the seminar people buy some of his products, audios or videos.  They may even enroll in another seminar.  That’s a lot of time and effort that Tony invests in people even before people consider coaching.  If building a coaching practice this way was hard for him, it’s going to be impossible for you.  Unless you’re speaking in a group of paying clients, who have already been buying your products

Building a Coaching Practice Becomes Easier and More Enjoyable When You Follow These Steps

w

Before you start thinking that building a coaching practice from the front of the room is a waste of time, there are some things you can do to get life coaching business even before you become a master like Tony Robbins.  For example, you can offer a free coaching session and pass out lead cards to gather contact information.  Another way to get life coaching business is to offer a drawing for a free book, product, or month of coaching.  Tell your audience that if they want to be in the running, pop their business card in your basket.  And as an aside, let them know that if they want a complementary coaching session with you, they can just write ‘yes’ on the back of their card.

That’s the simplest way to get people to be interested in coaching and in build a life coaching business.  Once you get them alone you can add a ton of value to them through your coaching, and yet you still have the validation because you were a speaker.  Building a coaching practice this way may seem like more work, but you will have more success and be able to enjoy the process as well.

Coaching Tips: Where is The First Place To Start Coaching Your Client To Create A Successful Coaching Result?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/JhKVn)
Having a lot of powerful coaching tips won’t necessarily help you be successful coaching others until you know what they want. One of the best coaching tips for a successful coaching relationship is to start at the foundation. If you were to build a house you would start with the foundation. In much the same way, the foundation of your successful coaching relationship is going to be formed by discovering what results your client wants from coaching with you.

Simple Coaching Tips Can Lead to a Successful Coaching Session

.

Some of the best coaching tips are the simple ones. For example, help your client determine what they want by asking them directly, “What result do want out of our coaching?” While this seems like a simple question, some clients won’t know how to answer it at first. Even though they may know exactly what result they want, they just don’t know how to articulate it. To help them, other questions you could ask are:

• What did you have a passion for earlier in life that you’ve gotten away from?
• Where would you live if you could choose to live anywhere?
• What would you do for a living if you were in charge?

As your clients answer these questions, they will give you information that can help to build a better picture if their passion and goals. By identifying their passion and goals, you are better able to develop a plan to take them there. In this way, simple coaching tips can turn into successful coaching results.

More Coaching Tips: Successful Coaching Results Depend On Helping Your Client Think

.

One of the most valuable coaching tips you will ever get for successful coaching is to use one simple statement: “Tell me more.” When your client says, “I don’t know what I want,” your best response is, “Tell me more about that.” Don’t be surprised if your client has a hard time with this; most clients have never really asked themselves what they want. Usually, they have just done what other people expected them to do. Be patient with them and keep them talking. By getting them to talk you will able to help them find out what they want. And when you know what they want, you will be able to determine which coaching tips you will need to give them in order to get the most successful coaching results possible.

Life Coaching Business Dirty Laundry: The Real Reason the Average Salary of a Life Coach Is Only Slightly Above the Poverty Level

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/3wWXg)
If you think that the life coaching business is without its own share of dirty laundry, you’re fooling yourself. The statistics show that the average salary for a life coach during the first year is about 12K. That’s only 1K above the 2008 poverty level for a single person in the U.S. That means that the average person is better off working for minimum wage than starting a life coaching business. If you really want to become a life coach professional, and help raise the average salary of a life coach, there are a few items you must clean up.

How You Can Help to Raise the Average Salary of a Life Coach

.

The first thing you can do to help raise the average salary of a life coach is pay for coaching. I can’t tell you how many coaches tell me, “I can’t afford coaching yet because I’m not making money in my life coaching business yet,” or, “I’m trading coaching with another coach.” But the truth is that you don’t really value coaching yourself enough to shell out your hard earned cash, or you aren’t willing to do what it takes to make it happen.

Why Paying for Life Coaching Helps the Bottom Line of Your Life Coaching Business

.

The reason that affects the average salary of a life coach is not because it maintains some sort of incestuous relationship within the coaching community. It’s that, if you don't know the value of paying for life coaching, you won’t enroll people into coaching yourself. How are you going to ask them to pay for something that you aren’t willing to pay for yourself? It’s just a bad life coaching business practice.

You Must Value Your Time to Raise the Average Salary of a Life Coach

.

The other reason why the average salary of a life coach is so low is that most coaches don’t value their own time to charge for coaching. And if that’s really the case, it’s time to take more coaching courses before you start your life coaching business. You definitely need skills to transform someone’s life, but ask yourself if it’s training you are lacking or confidence in your ability to produce value.

Your Salary Reflects the Accountability in Your Life Coaching Business

.

But the real reason that the average salary of a life coach is so low is that they don’t walk their own talk. Starting your own life coaching business is no more challenging than any other type of business. Unless you’re willing to live on the edge and commit to action, how are you going to get others to do the same? There challenges are no easier than yours. No one is going to pay you unless they perceive you as the key to getting what they want.

Do You Need To Be Certified To Be A Life Coach Or Is Coaching Certification A Waste of Time?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/JpI2F)
Coaching certification is great, but do you need to be certified to be a life coach? What reasons are there for getting a coaching certification? These are great questions to ask if you want to be a life coach. One popular reason to get coaching certification would be to learn coaching techniques. Another reason would be to help your prospects believe you are qualified to coach them. Yet another reason could be that you believe you will get more clients than someone who does not have a certification. All of those reasons seem pretty good, but let’s look at them more closely. Are they really true? Do you need to be certified to be a life coach?

Do You Need To Be Certified To Be A Life Coach? Just Any Coaching Certification Course Will Not Be A Quick Fix

.

A lot of people take coaching certification courses because they believe it works just like going to college and getting a career. However, there are some problems with looking at coaching that way. While some people see going to college, getting a degree and then getting a job as a measure of success, in life coaching you would need a lot more than one client to be considered a success. Not only should you take a look at what other life coaches have done to be successful, but also ask yourself what do you need to be a certified life coach who considers himself to be successful.

Do You Need To Be Certified To Be A Life Coach? Only Get A Coaching Certification After Finding Out Which One Paying Clients Expect You To Have

.

When I get asked the question, “Do you need to be certified to be a life coach?,” I respond by asking why one feels the need to get certified. Usually, people think it will give them credibility with their prospects. This may be true, but you will want to do some homework before you dive into coaching certification by finding out if there are any particular certifications that your prospects will expect you to have. For example, some financial advisers obtain financial planner certification because it is one certification that prospects recognize. Other certifications may appear as meaningless letters on the end of their name. By learning what certifications your clients will recognize, you will avoid wasting time and money getting a coaching certification that means nothing to your clients.

If you are still hesitant about getting a coaching certification, the best way to start getting clients is to do free coaching sessions. You are applying for the job of being their coach. They need to have a great experience coaching with you. Do you need to be a certified life coach to enroll clients? NO. All you need is the ability to help them get results.

Do you need to be certified to be a life coach? Not before you get started. Over time you should get certified because great coaches are lifelong learners. However, don’t make the mistake of waiting to take certification courses before getting started coaching and making a difference for your clients.

To Have Success Coaching Your Clients Long Term What Inner Game Coaching Will They Need?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/WCYUB)
What inner game coaching steps are necessary to have success coaching your clients in the long run?  You will need to keep them emotionally connected to you.  I have success coaching my clients to make more sales.  The inner game coaching I do with them is very important to keep them wanting me to coach them long enough to get results.  Over time we develop such a strong emotional bond and trust between us that they ask me for coaching in all areas of their life.    When we use the term “inner game coaching” we are talking about client’s beliefs, feelings and comfort zones.  There are three things your clients need to get from you to keep them as your client long term.

To Have Success Coaching Clients They Need To Feel You Value Them As an Individual

e

The most important thing your clients need to believe about you to have success coaching them is that you personally value them.  You cannot do effective inner game coaching if your clients believe you do not care about them.  It doesn’t matter how much you know because they won’t listen.  One way to make your client feel that you personally value them is to take good notes during your sessions.  Really listen to them and do not be “waiting to talk”.

Praising Your Clients Efforts Must Be Done to Have Success Coaching Them to Get Results

w

To have success coaching your clients you need to praise their efforts.  It doesn’t matter how small their actions may seem to them.  To give them inner game coaching that is only focused on what they didn’t do well will discourage them.  If your client gets no encouragement from you they will stop coaching with you.  If you make them feel like they are making progress it will motivate them to keep trying and not give up.

If you do the first two steps discussed so far you will have success coaching your clients.  You will now need to give your clients inner game coaching on how to view their wins.  A lot of people ignore their wins and focus on their disappointments.  For your client to feel like they are making progress toward their goals you will need to teach them to celebrate their wins.  Celebrate with them over the phone on their coaching session.  Pat them on the back and tell them they did a great job.  If you do these things you will have many clients stay with you for a long time and you will have a satisfying coaching business.

[Blog] To Have Success Coaching Your Clients Long Term What Inner Game Coaching Will They Ne...: What inner game coaching steps are necessary to have success coaching your clients in the long run?

Why Use Public Speaking To Learn How to Speak With Confidence In Your Life Coaching Business?

(My Original Blog Post: http://coachestrainingblog.com/becomeacoach/2009/11/why-use-public-speaking-to-learn-how-to-speak-with-confidence-in-your-life-coaching-business/)
Learning how to speak with confidence seems like a huge obstacle when you first start your life coaching business.  You may feel like you have to be the perfect coach to speak with confidence in your life coaching business.  Or like many others you may feel like people won’t listen to you if you don’t have success stories yet.   So why use public speaking as a tool to learn how to speak with confidence?

Public Speaking Will Help You Learn How to Speak With Confidence Because Public Speakers are Viewed as Experts

e

If you use public speaking to promote your life coaching business you will soon learn how to speak with confidence.  Why?  Because we all are taught that Public Speakers are experts in their field.  If the promoter says you’re an expert then you are an expert in the minds of the audience.  People love to do business with experts and public speakers are experts in their minds

If your audience views you as an expert then you will feed off their energy.  That energy will give you confidence and your audience will respond well.  Your audience is there to hear your message and they want you to succeed.   When you contact them after your speech you will hear respect for you in their voice.  That respect will make it much easier to enroll them as a client in your life coaching business.  Without public speaking your prospects will view you as a salesperson when you call them to offer a free coaching session.

You Will Learn How to Speak With Confidence by Using Public Speaking Because It Puts You Ahead of Your Competition

e

Using public speaking consistently to promote your life coaching business will put you in the top of your field.  That is true because 99% of people on the planet are too afraid of speaking in public to even try it.

The other reason you will be at the top of your field is you will have more clients.  You will be offering your free session to many people at once not just to one person at a time.  Knowing how to speak with confidence won’t be a problem for you if you commit to using public speaking to consistently grow your life coaching business.

Why Mastermind Groups are a Waste of Time in Growing Your Life Coaching Business: How to Avoid this Life Coaching Career Pitfall

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/UgABM)
Mastermind groups are a waste of time in growing your life coaching business?  Sound sacrilegious?  Sure, but they are one of the most common pitfalls people fall into at one point or another during their life coaching career.  Here’s why.  A bunch of coaches sit around, usually on the phone, for an hour or so every week and talk about their life coaching businesses.  They support each other in their life coaching career goals.  And over the course of the year it amounts to over 40 hours of time!

That’s a week of full time work that you could have been using to develop your life coaching business or work toward taking your life coaching career to the next level.  But you may be thinking, mastermind groups talk about how to do that.

Mastermind Groups Can Only Affect Your Life Coaching Business if You Take Action

e

There are two reasons why mastermind mind groups won’t help you with your life coaching career or your life coaching business.  The first is that most don’t show up.  Even if they do, they show up passively.  As in ready to take in information, speak their opinion if they feel like it, or they don’t take action after the call.  They expect benefits just by being on a mastermind group.

To Make Use of Mastermind Groups in Your Life Coaching Career You Must be Held Accountable

e

The second reason why most people’s don’t see benefits in their life coaching career or life coaching business from mastermind groups is that everyone shows up trying to be supportive.  Which is fine to a point.  But where is the accountability if no one is ready to ask the tough questions?  Is everyone else being ‘polite’ by letting others slide so that they will have the same grace?

If you really want to take your life coaching business to the next level, avoid these common pitfalls.  If you’re already a part of a mastermind group and see this happening, don’t look for a new group.  Step up and become a leader.  Take a stand for the people in your mastermind to make something happen.  It’s only by expanding your comfort zone that there is a chance to take your life coaching career to the next level.

Coaching Tips: Coaching Strategy That Will Help 90% of Your Clients

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/ONzRM)
Are there any universal coaching tips? Is there one coaching strategy you can use for just about anyone? If you are asking these questions, you are probably looking for some sense of certainty. Certainty is also related to comfort and safety. And you will naturally attract people who are similar to you in some way; probably because they are looking for certainty as well. And let’s face it; most people don’t feel safe enough to make changes until they at least have some sense of certainty. So a solid coaching strategy and a few coaching tips will be able to get most people moving forward toward their goals.

Without a Coaching Strategy, Coaching Tips are Practically Useless

.

Why do we need a coaching strategy to help our clients get more certainty? How do you feel when you are hoping that something will happen? What coaching tips are you willing to take? Are you hesitant? Most likely, you are not going to get momentum until you get past that hesitation. I know from my own experience, that as the days get shorter and nights get longer I can become really committed to having more comfort in my own life. And the last few people I’ve enrolled have been very certainty driven. One even admitted that she has always been a “Certainty Kind of Kid.”

Make Certainty Your Coaching Strategy

.

The most straightforward coaching strategy to move forward is to change your mind state to that of someone who has total certainty that they will succeed. This can be done by taking your client through a series of coaching tips to get them into a physiological state of being that allows them to literally feel that feeling. All of our memories are stored in our subconscious; right down to details of sight, sound, taste and feel. These memories can be used again and again if we choose.

Alternately, Some Coaching Tips Get Away from Certainty Altogether

.

Another coaching strategy is to help clients learn to love time away from certainty. Too much certainty is not going to get people out of bed, let alone to the next level of achievement. Give your clients some coaching tips on how to use that feeling of uncertainty to identify possible obstacles or threats to their success for a limited period of time (a half hour, for example). Then get them to move back to a more empowered state of mind so they know they can handle those obstacles.

And the best coaching strategy to help people gain certainty is to get them enrolled in some type of coaching program so they will have support to move past their fears. All the coaching tips in the world won’t do a bit of good unless they’re applied to a real coaching program.

How to Get Life Coach Clients: Life Coaching Business Strategies That Aren?t as Bad as Pulling Teeth

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/so406)
The secret to how to get life coach clients or start a life coaching business is no different than most things you haven’t done before. There can be that air of apprehension or even fear that keeps you from taking that first step. And let’s be honest, you probably know something about how to get life coach clients. So how many more life coaching business strategies do you need to get started?

Boosting Your Life Coaching Business to the Next Level Takes Courage

.

What helped me in learning how to get life coach clients and take my life coaching business to the next level was something I learned from pulling out my daughter’s tooth for the first time. My precious, sweet, little girl who I have protected since she was in the womb. One of her teeth was dangling by a thread, and it hurt her quite a bit. Up until that point, the school nurse pulled her teeth out. But unfortunately today was Friday, and the tooth was not going to last through the weekend. My daughter begged me to end her suffering with the tooth.

How to Get Life Coach Clients by Dealing with the Pain

.

What does this have to do with how to get life coach clients? There was enough pain so that I was brave enough to try. Is there enough pain in your life to move you forward, or are you comfortable enough where you are with your life coaching business? Make it clear what will be the cost if you fail to take action. Magnify it like a 6 year old girl.

Your Life Coaching Business Isn’t a One-Shot Opportunity

.

What other lessons can you learn about how to get life coach clients from a story about pulling teeth? I only had one chance, failing my daughter would cost me a lot. Thankfully that is rarely the case in your life coaching business. Even if you fall on your face, you can try again with someone else. And chances are you don’t live with them to have them constantly remind you that you really hurt them.

The Short Answer for How to Get Life Coach Clients: Take Action

.

And the most important lesson is to take action. It’s the only way how to get life coach clients, take your life coaching business to the next level. In the instant you take the action, you have the opportunity to become a hero. And once you’ve done something, it’s much easier to repeat it. Personally, I am extremely grateful for that.

Accountability Coaching Tips: 3 Steps to Successful Coaching When Your Clients Are Stuck in the Mud

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/NxIDz)
It’s hard to feel that you have a successful coaching practice when you have clients who can’t or won’t follow through on what they commit to. They always seem to have excuses, and usually very good ones. Sometimes even very entertaining stores. And unfortunately most of the coaching tips you’ll hear, won’t help. It’s not about getting tough; it’s not about trying to get your clients to be more afraid of you than what they commit to. For your clients to have a successful coaching experience, you need to get them to move past whatever is holding them back. Here are three coaching tips that will guide you.

Three Coaching Tips for Giving Your Clients Successful Coaching

.

The first of these coaching tips is to get your clients to become aware that they broke a commitment. Sometimes people aren’t aware that they are making commitments. For example, how often do we say, “I’ll call you tomorrow afternoon.” At some level our subconscious recognizes this, and when we don’t follow through we start losing power. To have a successful coaching session about accountability, this needs to be clear.

The second of these coaching tips is to help your clients recognize the cost of not following through with their commitments. Really it’s a cost that will affect the rest of their life. How you do one thing, is really how you do everything. Maybe your client didn’t listen to instructions, maybe they “over-committed,” or maybe, “something came up.” Successful coaching helps people really understand the cost from the standpoint of relationships, progress toward goals, and even their self-esteem.

The final of these coaching tips is to provide an empowering alternative. The point is that whatever is really keeping your clients from doing something is under the politically correct excuse. It’s something that they would rather run and hide from than look at and navigate around. If you know there is a big pothole in the road, you can drive around it.

Successful coaching allows clients to see that they have control over what they commit to, and that circumstances don’t control their life.

Successful Coaching Starts with Coaching Tips, and Ends with Accountability

.

So forget about the coaching tips you’ve heard about accountability coaching before. Successful coaching is about taking a stand with your clients, when societal rules say let them off the hook and be graceful. What you want to do is to go into your clients’ worlds and find out how you can help them move forward, and by implementing these coaching tips you will be light years ahead of most coaches.

Coach Training is Less Important Than Coaching Sales Training to Make Money as A Coach

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/ZDF1W)
In coach training you found your passion as a Coach but chances are you were not given enough coaching sales training to show you how to get clients consistently.  You may not view yourself as a “salesperson”.  Coach training can make you a good coach and that’s great, but it’s not enough.  The reality is that coaching sales training is necessary to show you how to get people to contact so coaching will not be just a hobby for you like it is most coaches.  Instead it will be profitable business.

Coach Training is Not Enough - You Also Need Coaching Sales Training To Get People To Sample Your Coaching

.

When taking your coach training you learned how to make powerful changes in your client’s lives.  Now you need coaching sales training to find potential clients and offer a free coaching session.

Treat Your Coaching Sales Training With The Same Importance as Your Coach Training In Your Area of Specialty

.

One great way to do this is to go to people that you know and ask them for help.  Let them know that you are growing your coaching business and they could really help you out with some referrals.  Be sure you remember your coaching sales training and follow these steps…

  • Educate them about who is a good referral for you.  If you don’t educate them they will send you the wrong person for your coaching.  If that happens, all the coach training you have received will not be well accepted and it will hurt your confidence.

  • Next let them know when they think of a good referral to think of friends, family, co-workers, church or any other associations they belong to.

  • Finally here is the coaching sales training that will really help you.  Ask them “of everyone you know who is the best referral for me?”  Then be silent for as long as it takes for them to respond.

They are likely to give you a referral because…

  • They have a relationship with you.

  • They know you went through coach training to be a great coach.

  • They want you to be successful.

This is the best way to use coaching sales training to start out your business right.  Generate referrals to offer free sessions to so you can use your coach training to show how you can help them.

Want to Become a Life Coach But Don?t Know How to Start a Life Coaching Business?

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/qkVpS)
You want to become a life coach but don’t know where or how to start a life coaching business?  Most people who want to become a life coach have a passion for helping people.  They are Givers and may have been asked for advice for as far back as they remember from their friends, family, schoolmates or colleagues.  Desire to help people is a great start, but let’s consider what the foundation should be to start a life coaching business.

Become a Life Coach or Start a Life Coaching Business by Asking What Knowledge or Skill Do You Have That Others Would Pay You For?

.

If you want to become a life coach or start a life coaching business you need to understand that people you meet don’t know what a life coach is because the term “life coach” is too vague.    When the average person asks “what do you do” and you say, “I’m a life coach” they don’t know where to save you in their brain.  There is no benefit communicated in the statement “I’m a life coach”.  They don’t know if you help parents, marriages, dating couples, grieving widows, drug addicts or help people create life balance.  If they don’t know the benefits of what you do when you become a life coach, they WILL forget about you.  What knowledge or skill do YOU have that someone would pay you for?

To Become A Life Coach Successfully You Must Communicate Clearly Exactly What Benefits People Get From Working With You

.

To become a life coach or start a life coaching business you have to be clear on exactly what area you are going to help people with.  Then you have to be clear on exactly how you will help them get results.  Once you are clear that you help busy professionals to create total life balance you can say something like this for example.  “I help successful professionals create and maintain balance in every area of life that is important to them so they don’t have to choose between money and love and they can live the life they REALLY want.”  If you can communicate that clearly you are going to attract to you people interested in your coaching.  They may even ask you for specific coaching before you even have a chance to offer them a free session with you.
